Post-exam celebration
Sat out on the porch with some good friends, my hookah, a liter of gin, a liter of tonic, some fried rice, a small pup tent (yes it was on the porch) and to top it all off- ballywood music videos on deepa's laptop. It was a great way to unwind. Got completely trashed by the end of the evening, but there's always plenty of ppl in this house to tuck you into the right bed when you can't find your way. Life is good. Paris here i come ¶ 19:04

Well here i am once again. Tomorrow's the big day, shouldn't I feel more stressed out about this comp? It's not that I'm overly prepared and I feel confident, on the contrary- I feel very much unprepared. However, I have come to a point where I simply can't stress about this anymore because it will do nothing more than aggravate my ulcer.

So how did I spend my last few hrs? Hmm....looked at some beautiful photos sent over from Vienna, courtesy of Mr. Fiault, perused through Fodor's for things to do in Paris when I arrive there next week, looked around for a phone card to use, scared my roommates with my loopy behavior, and enjoyed a late dinner upstairs in our ex-president's humble abode. Tonight's menu: steamed rainbow trout with soy sauce, ginger, and green onions with a side of jiaozi and fresh pistachios. YUM. not bad for a last meal, aye? ;)

Good night, we'll see how I fare tomorrow. Need to make a lunch... ¶ 23:40

Hola from the medical underworld!
I've decided that it's time for me to crawl out of my little Case med hole for a few minutes before I return to more senseless cramming. :)
Life is more or less the same these days: med school, steiner house, trip planning, all in all rather dull actually. Hmm...we have an anniversary party for the house planned for saturday- food, alcohol, music, and dancing. Should be a fun study break. Everyone seems a bit antsy about getting out of school...last push before the comp and there are already 3 BBQ's planned, 2 alcohol-related visits,all culminating in one big drinking fest/bbq/pool party after the comprehensive exam. Lots of photo ops.... ¶ 17:04

Smells like rain and wet grass. a pair of footsteps missing tonight. my room is surprisingly silent despite the storm. ¶ 20:44
